First time experience with Reiki so opted for the half massage/half Reiki option. Emma is so welcoming and I immediately felt at ease. I had a neck, shoulder and back massage. I've always felt that it needs to be a firm/extra-firm massage so I can get the relief but Emma's technique manages to get to all the knots without me feeling any pain.
The Reiki treatment is hard to describe but I did come away feeling a strong sense of calmness and was able to block out the "noise" in my brain.

Emma has magic hands. I went for my 1st appointment & reiki massage today and as soon as walking in I felt calm and relaxed. Emma provided a safe and therapeutic environment for me to talk and explore my emotions. She listened with empathy and I felt at ease in her presence. She explained how reiki works and was very professional. The massage itself was wonderful and so relaxing. The reiki massage was brilliant too. I have been going to Emma for a few years now and cannot recommend her enough (I am constantly recommending her to friends and colleagues!!) Emma truly is a miracle worker (well, for me anyway). I booked my 1st appointment after suffering months of headaches and a migraine that lasted a week. I also have a dysfunctioning hyoid (clunky throat when swallowing) which has also become painful more recently. After the 1st session my headaches had gone completely and immediately after the second session the pain in my throat had stopped and it hasn't clunked since. I am so pleased. I was given a voucher for a back neck and shoulder massage with Emma and I can honestly say it was the best massage I have ever had. I’ve never felt the effects of a massage last so long before, I must confess I did succumb to a little nap when I got home which was heaven as I felt so relaxed. Emma is very knowledgable and is also friendly and really listens to what you want from the treatment. Her technique is incredible; relaxing and slow but deep and so effective, she worked on to break down tension in certain areas in a gentle way too. She’s kind, humble, exceptionally skilled in what she does and always puts me at ease. A back and shoulder massage every six weeks has turned my life around and I can’t thank her enough. Emma is such a professional. Personable and friendly, Emma ensures you are relaxed, in the zone and completely comfortable before your treatment and throughout. I absolutely love her Swedish massages, the last one I didn't want to end! I cannot recommend enough, especially if you have slight lower back aches, problems in your upper back or sciatica issues. Reiki - first class treatment with Emma, who is very experienced therapist. I have been suffering from neck/shoulder pain for roughly one year, probably down to my work as a dental nurse and standing awkwardly!!! I have had many visits to the doctor and have been prescribed v.strong painkillers and diazepam! I am not one to take prescription medication!! My mum discovered Emma for her bad back and advised i went. One visit in and my neck and shoulder pain has almost disappeared!! As a massage "virgin" i didnt know what to expect and was a little unsure before the appointment. Not only has Emma helped with my pain she offers such a welcoming and comfortable environment! I can’t explain why I choose Emma from all the therapists Google threw at me but I’m so glad I went with my instincts. Emma has such a calmness about her and a genuine gift. I first meet Emma in my own home after I had broken my foot and ankle. After my first Reiki treatment I noticed a massive difference to not only the appearance and pain level of my foot but to my being as a whole. I felt calmer and more positive.
